How You'll Spend Your Time:Â
- Lead the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagement to effectively and efficiently provide world-class client service Â
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusion
- Conducting constructive discussions with staff on their evaluations and providing counsel accordinglyÂ
- Supervising day-to-day engagement teams on financial services engagements, which include hedge funds, private equity funds, investment managers and broker dealersÂ
- Training and development of audit team membersÂ
- Researching and applying specialized industry knowledge and accounting principlesÂ
- Identifying potential improvements to client service and audit processÂ
- Assisting with billing and collectionsÂ
- Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leaderÂ
The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of the Following:Â
- 3-5 years prior experience working in the audit department of a public accounting firmÂ
- A Bachelor's degree in AccountingÂ
- A CPA license is preferredÂ
- Strong written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, both independently and as part of a team, requiredÂ
- Must have experience in the financial services industryÂ
The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000 – $115,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.
