Financial Software Specialist

Jirav makes complex financial forecasting and modeling easy, enabling small to medium sized businesses to understand where their business has been and where it is headed. This position is to support our growing customer base through the implementation of Jirav for our new customers and additional services engagements with our existing customer base.

Your Role

You will be working with CFOs, CEOs and business leaders who are utilizing Jirav to report on historical company performance and model future growth and profitability.

Familiarity with financial modeling, forecasting and reporting is required. Your tasks will include analyzing complex Excel models and working directly with our customers to successfully translate their business model into Jirav. This includes providing exceptional project management throughout the implementation, gathering client requirements, configuring financial models and training customers on how to maintain and update their Jirav model. As a Jirav expert, you will be providing best practice advice for financial modeling, report & dashboard design.

What you'll be doing

• Manage month end close process, including preparation of all balance sheet and revenue reconciliations. Keep organized schedules and workpapers which substantiate all Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate and assists other team members with contract negotiations and fulfillment such as insurance, partner deals, etc.
• Prepare payroll and ensure governmental filings are handled on a timely basis.
• Manage AR collections process.
• Manage bill payment process.
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
• Solve technical accounting problems and ensure the completeness of deliverables.
• Develop cadences that ensure all deadlines are met.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Work with third parties to provide necessary information for tax preparation or the annual audit, when applicable.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance; or comparable industry experience
• Basic working understanding of financial models and financial statements
• Demonstrated success with quantitative coursework and experience
• Experience in project & management; tasks involve gathering requirements, determining solutions, and growing them over time as both the platform and client sophistication evolves
• Experience in self-organization and guiding customers through a timely, educative, and delightful user experience
• Experience in client facing role that includes customer communication and guidance with Executives and stakeholders such as CFO, Controller, Finance Directors, Investors or similar
• Experience in documentation and video; creating and updating documentation and "how-to" videos to keep up with the platform as it evolves
• Experience hosting online meetings
• Experience with customer training, triaging tasks, meeting SLA requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly and efficiently interact with customers and stakeholders

Logistics

• Must be legally able to work in the US at time of hiring
• Must be comfortable working onsite at our office in Austin, TX
