Financial Systems Administrator - Primarily Remote in CA
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing the cloud-based financial systems stack for the Finance department that support the organization's financial operations. Successful candidates will have an overall aptitude for administering web-based technologies, with a focus on accounting and finance and a positive end user experience. The Administrator will strive to best configure each platform to support the organization, including opportunities to leverage automation to streamline operations and communication.
The Administrator will work closely with the Accounting Team and Finance Operations Team in the Finance department, Data and Technology department and People Operations department to provide technical support, system customizations, customize and automate reports and dashboards, and create and maintain tools and documentation to administer the systems.
Location: California (prefer Los Angeles or San Francisco Area), position is primarily remote with occasional in-office requirements
Travel: Minimal
Pay Range : 90-105k yearly/exempt
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the Finance team and other teams as applicable with configuration changes in Sage Intacct, Nexonia, AssetEdge (module within Sage Intacct), Adaptive Planning, MineralTree and other applications (collectively, the Financial Systems) used by Finance.
- Partners with Finance leaders and other stakeholders to develop, recommend and implement processes changes and innovative solutions to improve user experience and customer service; taking lead on Financial Systems changes by reviewing release documentation, gathering requirements from users, reviewing business processes, testing changes in sandbox and releasing them on a schedule in the production environment.
- Communicate updates on support tickets and project statuses with users and ensures timely responses and resolution to all issues.
- . Work with stakeholders to create custom reports and various dashboards.
- Maintains data integrity in the Financial Systems, regularly coordinating data audits, system implementations, upgrades, modifications and clean-up efforts.
- Trains new Finance team users on Financial Systems functionality by creating and utilizing job aids and various documents.
- Reviews Financial Systems integration error reports and troubleshoots findings.
- Assumes role of Financial Systems administrator for all finance applications, including but not limited to adding, changes, and deleting user IDs, passwords, role-based permissions, etc.

Requirements
Experience and Education
- Proven skills in understanding business needs and translating into documentation and actionable changes in the system.
- Experience administering a variety of cloud-based business systems (CRM, CMS, IdP, HRIS, ERP) and maintaining across a complex organization.
- Data & system migration and implementation experience.
- Experience administering top-tier business systems such as Workday a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
- Advanced knowledge of excel, including use of pivot tables, PowerQuery, and lookup functions.
- Strong customer service mindset with an eye for detail.
- Swiss army knife of software-pick up new technology with ease.
