Financial Systems Governance (FSG) is responsible for driving efficient operations through innovative use of our financial technology to help strengthen our financial position. The primary role for this team is to ensure effective and efficient management of our financial systems, which includes system configuration for Workday and T-Recs, security and reports configuration, Adaptive integrations support, and ensure high-quality financial governance and controls that safeguard the company. The team also serves as a liaison between Finance system end users and our IT partners (internal and external)
The Financial Systems Advisory Analyst will provide support on financial system related configuration changes by ensuring impacts are fully assessed and documented, building a positive customer experience by interacting with our business partners, providing solutions, and initiating/driving process improvements within the team.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
  • Analyzes, documents requirements for and executes on deployment of new enhancements and/or configuration changes supporting automated reconciliations, account certifications, Adaptive integrations, security and report configurations.
  • Collaborates with management, technical staff and subject matter advisors to understand business needs/issues, troubleshoot problems, conduct root cause analysis and assist in developing cost effective resolutions for system and data anomalies.
  • Ensures data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data.
  • Verifies accuracy of new/changed configurations. Test changes prior to deployment as appropriate and follow the SOX process to document changes before and after deployment.
  • Utilizes technology to analyze data and/or metrics from applicable systems to review data processes, identify issues, and determine actions to resolve or escalate problems that require data, system or process improvements.
  • Performs financial data related research and root cause analysis activities, provides correction specifications, and escalates issues as appropriate.
  • Provides input to data architecture discussions and decisions on request.

May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
  • Working knowledge of financial systems.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and good critical thinking, independent judgment, and decision making capabilities.
  • Solid communication, interpersonal and presentation capabilities to work effectively among all levels of internal/external partners/customers.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic workforce.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Capable of learning new system applications/functions.
  • Embraces and readily adapts to change.
  • Strong computing skills including proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically a minimum of 2 years of related work experience, but open to recent graduates.
