Financial Systems Analyst works within the CFO Group to support reporting, financial systems, and data needs for Finance, Accounting, and Treasury as well as the broader bank. Is a key team member in the financial operations of the company and works closely with management and directors. Financial Systems Analyst develops expertise in accounting and finance processes, financial planning & analysis, data management, and systems management. Will assist other associates and managers in the department with best practices and issue resolution. Financial Systems Analyst will follow established procedures to complete all assigned activities independently with minimal guidance and direction. As well as maintain and update processes and procedures of moderate complexity as the business changes.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Systems
- Assist with the administration and support the financial planning and reporting system.
- Assist with the administration and support the Workday financial module.
- Maintain hierarchies across reporting dimensions.
- Management of data integration and transformation processes for various systems.
- Participate in model and system design.
- Research and resolve problems and errors in data from planning and reporting system with limited supervision.
Data
- Perform queries and create procedures to support research and analysis.
- Participate in database management to support reporting.
- Process month end data feeds for financial reporting.
- Maintain existing extracts, data integrations, & SQL jobs.
- Build/Run reporting to support ongoing and ad-hoc business needs.
Required Skills
- Typically, two years related FP&A or systems experience.
- Process oriented.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven analytical skills and understanding of workflow.
- An eye for process improvement and project implementation.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems, or related business intelligence degree.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Intermediate knowledge of financial planning and analysis techniques.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database management principles.
- Intermediate knowledge of financial planning and analysis techniques.
- Financial services or banking experience a plus.
- Experience using Workday's financial module a plus.
- Experience using cloud-based data visualization platforms or reporting tools a plus.
