Financial Systems Analyst
Job Description
The Financial Systems Analyst supports the day-to-day use of the current financial system, NetSuite. The position will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and determining the priority of work to be performed. The selected analyst will work as part of a team to implement system improvements as requested by the users.
Responsibilities:
- Perform system admin functions for ERP applications including NetSuite, Blackline, MHC, and future financial systems
- Complete maintenance requests to support application operations, and keep documentation updated
- Troubleshoot and resolve questions and system incidents quickly and efficiently
- Develop relationships with the business and IT to provide improved data management and delivery systems that meet enterprise needs
- Coordinate and participate in special projects/tasks in various areas including, but not exclusive to, financial reporting and general accounting analysis and research, gathering financial and non-financial data from other operational systems, re-engineering and optimizing existing processes, and interacting with the lines of the business
- Participate in enterprise projects as needed
- Provide consultation from a financial systems perspective
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience working with financial systems
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a similar career field or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in major accounting systems (preferably NetSuite)
- Practical business experience in an accounting or finance area required
- Proficiency in using Excel (Pivot, Functions, Macro)
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau is preferred
- Ability to solve complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions, and exercising judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
- A high degree of organization skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to make customers the key focus in decisions about business processes
