Financial Systems Reporting Specialists
Job Description
In this role, you will support and maintain current IBM and Power BI data structure, identify, and implement solutions to maintain data models and reporting, and build new reports and dashboards. You will assist with new development as well as support, maintenance, and enhancements of existing applications. In this highly collaborative position, you will work closely with business segment contacts to ascertain complex business requirements and processes. You will also assist in identifying opportunities that will drive efficiencies in reporting processes, including the automation of existing manual data sets. This includes everything from assisting with the development of requirements to testing new reports.
Major Activities / Key Challenges:
- Create financial and business intelligence reports to track metrics.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
- Work with business leaders and project teams to design and develop financial and business intelligence reports.
- Identify common data models to be used across the business.
- Assist in design and developing dataflows and datasets for optimal performance and ease of use.
- Suggest process refinements and tools to promote data integrity and quality.
- Conduct Level 2 support for financial reporting and business intelligence applications, including maintaining and troubleshooting gateway connections, and solving refresh issues and failures.
- Conduct tips and training sessions for internal business users, including sharing of best practices.
- Monitor financial reporting controls and data governance across the company.
- Work with internal team to review and revise financial reporting strategy to align to business needs.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
- Understanding of systems analysis, design, and programming techniques
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a larger group
- Proven ability to interact with internal and external customers, other analysts, and management
- Proficient human relation skills, and capability to communicate horizontally and vertically within the company
- Self-motivation to learn and understand new concepts to be applied to current solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in information technology
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in IBM Planning Analytics administration or other similar financial planning software
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Power BI development administration or other similar business intelligence software
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience with SQL and data modeling
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
