Financial Writer - Content Editor

As tastytrade’s Financial Writer - Content Editor, you will be at the forefront of our content creation efforts. Working closely with other teams within the marketing function you will have two primary responsibilities. The first will be producing high quality reactive and evergreen content around the financial markets (futures, options, stocks and crypto). In addition, as our expert in all things financial content, you will be reviewing and editing content from other teams to ensure it adheres to tasty’s personality and guidelines.
What you’ll do: 

Create both timely and evergreen written content around the financial markets (options, futures, stock, crypto) to be hosted on the websites for both tastytrade (our financial content network) and tastyworks (our options, stock, futures and crypto brokerage) 

Ensure that all written content which is going to make its way on to our websites meets the brand’s style and tone of voice, and give a first view on whether it is likely to adhere to compliance, legal, and other requirements 

Update and adjust content when and where needed to ensure content always stays relevant and up to date 

Own the process around content creation and editing, to ensure we’re being as efficient and effective as possible in using the talented writers we have at our disposal 
Who you are: 

• A versatile financial content writer/editor, with a strong eye for detail even while producing speedy, timely articles 
• Self-motivated, with the ability to multitask and prioritize multiple workstreams. You’ll jump on opportunities to create reactive content when you need to, but whilst managing the impacting on the creation of planned evergreen content 
• Excellent writing skills – demonstrating a dynamic variable style, concerned with getting key messages across quickly and efficiently 
• A business-minded professional – confident, friendly and down to earth 
• An organized but creative thinker, capable of writing to tight deadlines, challenging constraints and working collaboratively 
• You are able to write objectively and work in a regulated environment 
• An expert in writing and editing content around trading financial markets (options, futures, stock, cryptocurrency) and multiple trading styles 
• Have a passion for financial markets, and the political and economic factors that influence them 
• Have experience working with a CMS, editing and pushing content live (not a necessity) 
• Basic understanding of how search works for online publications (not a necessity)
