Job Description
📍London OR UK Remote | 💰 £38,000 - £50,000 (Dependent on experience) + Benefits |
About us:
We’re here to make money work for everyone and we're doing things differently. For too long, banking has been obtuse, complex and opaque.
We want to change that and build a bank with everyone, for everyone. Our amazing community suggests features, test the app and give us constant feedback so we can build something everyone loves.
We're focused on solving problems, rather than selling financial products. We want to make the world a better place and change people's lives through Monzo.
We’re looking for a Fincrime Analyst to join the Signup & Screening Team (1LOD)
What you’ll be doing:
- Helping members of the signup & screening team with projects and initiatives. You’ll be expected to contribute to the team’s deliverables at all stages of signup and all types of customer screening. Eventually, you’ll own key stages of the process, e.g. proposing and documenting new change initiatives, analysing data and writing reports.
- Owning the analysis for our team and in collaboration with other areas of 1LOD. This means working with multiple control owners and Product, Data, and Engineering colleagues from Squads to understand the requirements and execute the tasks proposed.
- Tracking the performance of the teams’ controls through a good understanding of the systems and typologies.
- Reporting risks and issues to control owners and Fincrime leadership.
- Supporting the end-to-end process for the team’s controls (including developing and maintaining Standards documents with the team).
- Ensuring consistency and alignment across Business and Personal customers.
- Management of incidents relating to controls with Control Owners.
- Alignment with other control owners to identify the highest priority issues or problem areas to drive forward solutions.
- Proactively identifying and sharing emerging threats/trends using your excellent data and analytics skills, working across the Signup and Screening pillar and with other control areas in 1LOD.
You should apply if:
- You can demonstrate a good understanding of principles of financial crime and how they apply to customers joining a bank
- You have strong analytical skills and experience with handling large amounts of data and identifying trends
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills - writing up investigations and presenting findings to key stakeholders is a big part of the job.
- You’re willing to spend time in the London office up to twice per quarter
Our interview process involves 4 main stages:
- Short Call with a Monzo Recruiter
- Initial Call with Hiring Manager
- Successful applicants at this stage will be invited to complete a pre-interview task (which you’ll have approx 24 hours to get back to us)
- Successful candidates from Task stage will be invited to 2 x 45 minute interviews
⏳ Applications close at 6pm on 10th July 2023.
What’s in it for you:
đź’° ÂŁ38,000 - ÂŁ50,000 (dependant on experience) âž• plus stock options & benefits
📍This role can be based in our London office, but we're open to distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London).
