Finish Carpenter for Residential Home Contractor

About the Job We are an experienced and growing general contracting firm focused on high-end remodels, additions and custom homes throughout the Bay Area. Established in 2008, we are a family-run Design+Build contractor in Morgan Hill. Our office features a showroom that showcases our expertise allowing us to host clients & design partners alike. We are seeking a carpenter with 10-years minimum experience and background in the residential design field. Qualifications & Responsibilities · Fundamental knowledge of basic residential construction including but not limited to electrical, HVAC, appliance installation, tile work, carpentry, finish work, sheetrock, light plumbing, etc. · Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of residential construction projects. · Complex carpentry skills a MUST. · Excellent communication skills are required in order to effectively communicate with management, design professionals, project team, clients and subcontractors. · Must be organized and detail oriented. · Problem solving skills are a MUST. · Customer service experience preferred. · Ability to read plans. · Bi-lingual highly preferred but not necessary. · Valid California Drivers' License & able to travel throughout Bay Area to multiple job-sites. · Owns own vehicle and basic tools; company to provide specialty/additional tools as needed. Education and Experience · 10 years minimum experience in construction industry. · Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance installation, etc. Compensation and Benefits · Opportunity for growth with expanding custom home builder. · Opportunity for company vehicle & device after initial 90 day probation period.
