Our client is a premier technology solutions and consulting firm serving the alternative investment management industry. Offering a range of enterprise and cloud-based fintech software, the firm specializes in consulting and operational managed services to hedge funds, private equity firms, family offices, and other asset managers.
Position Summary
The firm seeks a results-oriented, experienced Fintech Sales Executive (Hunter) to identify and capture new logo opportunities within the Asset Management industry. This role requires a proactive, self-starting sales professional with expertise in fintech solutions to build and manage a robust sales pipeline, leverage industry insights, and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source and develop new sales opportunities through outbound efforts, conferences, networking, and email campaigns.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified sales prospects.
- Deeply understand the needs of hedge funds and asset managers to effectively position the firm’s product suite and value proposition.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly quotas for lead generation and revenue targets.
- Conduct account research, identify key players, and generate meaningful client engagement.
- Maintain an updated database of prospects and utilize internal resources and product experts to advance sales opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive technologies, and identify potential new product and service opportunities for the company.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven software/solutions sales experience in the financial technology (fintech) industry, specifically selling to the buyside (hedge funds, private equity, family offices).
- Demonstrated track record in meeting/exceeding quotas, with a “hunter” mentality focused on prospecting and pipeline growth.
- Experience selling one or more of the following solutions: Analytics, Back Office Solutions, Data Governance, Data Management, Data Warehouse, EOD Reporting, Front Office Solutions, Managed Services, Middle Office Solutions, OMS, PMS, Reconciliation, Regulatory Solutions, Reporting, Trade Management, Treasury.
- Strong SaaS sales experience in complex fintech solutions (beyond basic data sets/platforms).
- Enterprise sales experience is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills and expertise in delivering demos and presentations to prospective clients.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services, asset management, and the workflows involved in alternative investments.
- Skilled in building strong relationships with C-level executives and their teams.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and a dedication to success.
