Summary
The Fire Life and Safety Manager works with the operations and client teams to plan, direct, and implement fire, life, and safety programs that ensure a positive, safe, healthy, and incident-free work environment for our clients. This position is responsible for the compliance of relevant parties with all environmental and safety regulatory agencies. Areas of specialty for this position focus on compliance monitoring and reporting in all areas of the company. This role also works closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders to address daily client challenges, while identifying and executing opportunities to make meaningful improvements to client operations. The role is based at our corporate headquarters with travel to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities
- Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly, and monthly audits
- Facilitate incident investigation process
- Enter safety incident information in internal database in a timely manner
- Perform safety observations & audits
- Train and assist others (Area Managers, internal team members, clients, etc.) to complete their safety responsibilities (Audits, Follow Safety Rules, etc.)
- Perform specific safety training as required
- May have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety related activities depending on the business unit and location
- Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion
- Ability to communicate health and safety needs to all levels of the organization
- Provide support for FLS programs through defined activities and recordkeeping under direction from operations leadership
- Plan emergency response initiatives; respond to emergency situations as they arise
- Assist with the investigation of all incidents and injuries from initial report to closure
- Provide leadership in developing, implementing and managing client FLS policies, programs and practices
- Communicate closely with leadership to ensure FLS goals are met.
- Plan and implement procedures, programs, and files regulatory reports in compliance with the local, state, and federal agencies.
- Ensure confidentiality of internal and external data
- Perform ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned

- Proficient in FLS regulations and knowledge of regulatory training required

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or 10+ years of industry experience
- 3-5 years' facilities, environmental, safety or health experience
- EPA and OSHA regulation experience required.
Other Relevant Qualifications
- Facilities management experience preferred
