Job Description

Neurable is seeking an experienced firmware engineer to build wearable devices powered by Neurotechnology. You will help Neurable develop neural experiences for an innovative new Bluetooth headphone product that tracks focus and reduces burnout.

What You Will Do:

  • Own firmware test application on hardware prototype projects and development platforms.
  • Experiment with and implement testing interfaces to various sensors/peripherals.
  • Code programs and scripts as necessary to test embedded systems.
  • Work closely with various core tech teams and other organizations to define prototyping scope and applications towards various technology roadmaps and products.
  • Develop software for a microprocessor/DSP chipset that will perform post processing operations on brain data from EEG sensors
  • Build firmware that interfaces with Qualcomm Bluetooth SoC.
  • Port ML and post processing algorithms to embedded environments
  • Collaborate with neuroscientists and ML engineers to develop new algorithms for processing brain data

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

 

  • 5+ years experience in embedded systems development for consumer electronics products
  • Familiarity with STM32 or other ARM-core processor family chips, ADI/TI DSP, or other 32-bit chipsets used for both control and signal processing
  • Proficiency in implementing advanced DSP algorithms and Filters on embedded platforms.
  • Experience with implementing memory optimization techniques and power optimization techniques.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++.
  • Familiarity with board design, layout, and best practices for processor implementation on HW PCBA
  • Knowledge of analog circuit design is helpful
  • Knowledge of biopotential measurements systems (EEG, ECG) is also helpful, but not critical
  • Experience with Qualcomm SoC family a plus
  • Experience with TI ADS129x series EEG/ECG ADCs is a big plus.
  • Experience with developing RTOS and bootloaders for embedded systems for implementation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or relevant field
