The Silicon Design group is a diverse team of world class silicon engineers. We have 100+ years of cumulative hands-on experience in architecture, logic design, verification, physical design, emulation and firmware. We use the latest silicon technologies and processes to help our clients create well-designed solutions to highly complex challenges. We are designing and developing next-generation, high performance SoCs, supporting our clients in their drive to deliver their product vision to their users. We are involved in all aspects of chip design from definition and architecture through to verification and signoff. You Are:

An experienced Firmware Engineer with experience owning the system design and firmware on hardware prototype projects and development platforms.

The Work:

  • Collaborating in a team environment across engineering disciplines.
  • Experimenting with and implementing interfaces to various sensors/peripherals.
  • Developing USB HID based interfaces and bootloaders.
  • Coding firmware to drive novel display systems and cameras.
  • Devising and implementing low-latency network interface protocols.
  • Coding programs and scripts as necessary to test embedded systems.
  • Work closely with various core tech teams and other organizations to define prototyping scope and applications towards various technology roadmaps and products.

Here's what you need:

  • A minimum of one year of experience with driver and board-level software development (C, C++, Python, Scripting i.e. Perl, Bash, etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (12 years) work experience (If an Associate's Degree with 6 years of work experience)

Bonus points if:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with board bring up and systems debugging
  • Experience with ARM based processors and micro-controllers and various communications protocols.
  • Experience porting DPDK port to ARM Custom SoCs using FPGA currently.
  • Experience with debugging tools such as bus analyzers and oscilloscopes
  • Experience with protocol design, specification, and implementation
  • Experience debugging and problem solving in code bases and environments
  • Linux Kernel
  • Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK)
  • Device Driver development on Linux
  • Device tree
  • ARM SoC
  • FPGA

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below.

California $54,500 to $162,000

Colorado $54,500 to $140,000

New York $50,500 to $162,000

Washington $58,100 to $149,000
