First Year Forward

Description

The Appian First Year Forward program is designed to provide support, mentorship, and growth opportunities for the next generation of technical talent. First Year Forward participants will gain insight into daily life at Appian and the chance to collaborate with Appian employees and top leadership throughout an interactive day of technical and professional development workshops.

The experience does not end there - Our engineers and consultants want to help you throughout the rest of your college career! As a part of this highly-selective program, you will be paired with an Appian developer or technical consultant who will serve as a professional mentor to guide you through the remainder of your collegiate journey. 

This year’s First Year Forward program will take place in-person at our Headquarters in July 2023. Interviews will be conducted through early April and participants will be notified in May.

To be successful in this role, you need:

• Demonstrated passion for technology through school projects, hackathons, and other extracurricular activities
• Excitement about future opportunities with Appian 
• Desire to work collaboratively with other participants and Appian engineers and consultants

Some of the tools and resources we will equip you with include:

• Connection to a current Appian engineer or technical consultant to serve as a professional mentor through the remainder of your collegiate journey
• Ability to attend multiple tech talks and case workshops, both during the one-day event and beyond
• Opportunity to attend professional development sessions and 1:1 resume reviews with recruiters

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a similar major
• Completing an undergraduate program between December 2025 and June 2026
