Fleet Dispatcher / Customer Service Representative
Job Description
A growing recycling company that specializes in green building projects, is seeking a DISPATCHER who will assist our current team with managing our customer base and fleet of roll-off and box trucks. We are located in Northeast Philadelphia, just off of I-95; personal transportation is strongly recommended.
The ideal candidate will have experience with logistics, customer service, and managing a wide range of tasks in a busy environment. Experience with trucking logistics or dispatch in the construction, recycling or waste industry is a plus, but not required. Entry level candidates will be considered; we will train the right person with an exceptional skill set. Candidates must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy contributing to and supporting a dynamic team.
The ability to complete a variety of tasks in a timely and accurate manner is crucial to this role. Candidates must be able to interact with customers in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, professional, and solution-oriented attitude. Remaining calm, proactive, resourceful and efficient under pressure is necessary. The ability to work as part of a team and work independently and instinctively with a strong attention to detail is equally important.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner while actively listening to their requests for service.
• Process client and driver requests in an accurate, efficient, and organized fashion.
• Offer support and solutions to customers in accordance with the company's values and customer service policies.
• Handle a high call volume to assist the team with processing 150-200 orders per day
• Direct all other incoming calls to the appropriate party and clearly relay messages where necessary.
• Be able to work independently (without constant supervision) to prioritize tasks and work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion.
• Maintain records of contacts and project data accurately while being mindful of the details and the larger systems.
• Be able to adjust his/her daily work schedule as needed to contribute to a fast-paced work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Customer service experience is a must
• Excellent communication skills -- both written and verbal
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience working independently and under pressure while producing quality work
• Time management skills
This is a full-time in-person position that includes a full benefits package and offers potential for growth. It is a Monday-Friday 40hr per week position (8.5hr shift with a 30 minute unpaid lunch); occasional Saturdays will be required. Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
