Fleet Manager

A Fleet Manager performs many organizational and management tasks to monitor, maintain and improve a company’s transportation processes. Their duties and responsibilities include:

• Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet which is currently 500 vehicles
• Monitoring regular maintenance on all vehicles
• Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
• Monitoring routes and personal use of fleet vehicles.
• Coordinating Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules
• Managing vehicle licensure and registration
• Ensuring all fleet members have proper license and vehicle documents on hand.
• Providing reports to management on fuel, lease, and maintenance spend on a monthly/annual basis.
• Create lease schedules for new vehicles and work with accounting to code monthly fleet invoices according to Zayo’s GL codes.
• Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in business, safety, or related technical discipline and/or equivalent work experience, required.
• 5 years telecommunications fleet management experience preferred
• The position will require outstanding critical thinking and decision-making process, the anticipation of risky business situations with deliberate and swift response to the same.
• The position will require some travel and access/availability to serve the needs of the business on a 24/7 basis. 
• The individual must possess outstanding written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills as they interface with subordinates, peers, customers, and vendors. 

Base pay range: $80,100 - $106,800, commensurate with experience.
