Flight Test Ground Station Telemetry Architect

A vacancy for a Flight Test Ground Station Telemetry Engineeri has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe. The successful applicant will join Flight Test Ground Station Department.

One of the key activities to perform is develop software applications for Flight Test Ground Station and Test Frameworks. Additionally some industralization of tools are requested from the Test Center

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Knowledge and experience of radiofrequency equipment ( RF Comms & VHF radio).
• Decide Make or Build solutions
• Develop ad-hoc solutions that implies Firmware, HW and software Solutions
• Collect and analyze requirements and information needed to specify, design, build and deliver telemetry Test Means needed and solutions systems according to internal processes and respecting Quality, Time, Cost and Performance.
• Provide the Test Means specifications, Industrial supplier selection (if necessary) and project management of the subcontracted activities. 
• Manage the activities of configuration control of “telemetry on ground” equipment on test means, export control compliance related to FTGS (Flight Telemetry Ground Station) test means

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Radiofrequency Engineer knowlegment
• SW development skills
• FW development skills
• Microcontrollers and FPGA development skills
• Project Micro-management.
• Systems Engineering
• Export Control Basic concepts.
