Floor Technician

Floor Tech Job Description We are looking to hire an energetic floor tech. The floor tech will be responsible for the maintenance of all floor areas, and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. You will remove spots from carpets, perform bonnet and extraction carpet cleaning, dispose of trash and assist with hazardous waste collection. You will operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums, and you will wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment. To be successful in this role you will protect patients and visitors by keeping floors free from harmful microorganisms, and by being mindful of slip, trip, and fall hazards. Preferred candidates are motivated, meticulous, and able to work with numerous interruptions. Any shift: Days, Nights, Overnight Position Overview A Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving the appearance and cleanliness of floors in a variety of settings, including offices, schools, hospitals, and other commercial or public spaces. This typically involves using various cleaning equipment and products to strip, clean, and wax floors, as well as conducting regular maintenance and repairs as needed. Primary Responsibilities • Strip, clean, and wax floors using appropriate chemicals and equipment • Use scrubbers, buffers, and extractors to clean and maintain floors • Identify and repair damaged spots or scratches on floors • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and identify any repairs that may be needed • Follow safety protocols and guidelines when using chemicals and equipment • Communicate with Allied leadership team regarding any issues or concerns related to floor maintenance Qualifications and Skills • Prior experience in floor maintenance or related field preferred • Understanding of various floor types and appropriate cleaning methods and chemicals • Ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment, such as scrubbers and buffers • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and repair floor damage • Effective communication skills to interact with clients, supervisors, and colleagues • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet job requirements If you are interested in this position, please submit your resume and any relevant certifications or experience to our hiring team for consideration.
