Food and Beverage Accounting Analyst

ge Financial Analyst Location: We are currently in search of a Food & Beverage Financial Analyst to support Las Vegas Convention Center. This is an on-site position. Essential Responsibilities: This position will offer analytical knowledge by utilizing quantitative modeling to measure the performance of point-of-sale data across all food and beverage retail and catering channels within Las Vegas Convention Center. We are seeking a results-oriented financial analyst who will be responsible for providing accurate reporting, investigating variances, and leading various business projects and ad-hoc analyses. Working closely with the local operating team, VP of Operations, General Manager and Controller, they will lead projects from concept through final delivery to understand and overcome the business' most pressing issues in the areas of Operations, Innovation and Labor Management to add value with executable strategies and tactics. · Prepare and deliver analytical reports (daily/weekly/periodic) utilizing Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and other financial reporting tools to distribute key operating metrics and analytical findings. · Develop metrics and dashboards to track performance by events by business unit. · Monitors labor costs and report to financial team and operations departments. · Compares actual operating results to budget and prior year. · Analyzes data to identify trends for use in forecasts and budgets. · Assists in preparing the annual budget and monthly forecast. · Assists in the development of presentations for budget meetings and operational reviews. · Prepares ad-hoc reporting. · Pro-actively assists co-workers as needed. · Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications/Skills: · Bachelor's degree (or higher) in business analytics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field. · Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience, reporting and progressive project management experience (within the hospitality, retail or restaurant industry a plus) · Self-motivated and able to work successfully with minimal supervision. · Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, maintain attention to detail while working within tight time constraints. · Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, exercise independent judgment, work on own initiative and on multiple projects simultaneously. · Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Tableau highly desired. · Knowledge of large-scale point of sale systems desired but not required. · Willingness to work events which may fall on weekends, holidays, and/or evenings.
