This position is located at the Rose Barracks Zone Cafe in Vilseck.

- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
- Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages. Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.j.(1).
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
- Certificate of Medical Examination required.
- Work is normally performed inside with adequate lighting and heat. Care is required to avoid serious injury in food preparation and storage areas.

2. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Skill and Knowledge: Able to work alone. Know the proper use of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Know simple food handling techniques. Able to work safely. Able to serve uniform individual portions and avoid distractions when several guests ask for different items at the same time. Able to use simple arithmetic..

- The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is within the commuting area of Vilseck. The surrounding/commuting area is within approximately 100 miles and includes the communities of Ansbach, Hohenfels, and Grafenwoehr (Military Spouse Preference (MSP), Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) and Family Member Preference eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

- This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
- All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
- Incentives will not be paid.
- Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
