FOOD SERVICE WORKER (BARISTA)

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

• Demonstrates dependability and performs the expected volume of work.
• Performs cash handling functions within the established standards.
• Exercises tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
• Strictly follows safety and security instructions.
• Interacts with supervisors and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner demonstrating an ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Must follow acceptable standards of dress, personal hygiene and conduct. Implements and maintains an effective internal control system to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste and abuse.
• Able to read and complete instructions on recipe cards.
• Recognizes intoxicated and unruly patrons and resolves the problem or seeks assistance if needed.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
