This announcement may be used to fill multiple vacancies in the Fort Campbell School Feeding program.

The position is in accordance with the Fort Campbell Schools schedule.

This announcement is an open continuous announcement with cut off dates every Sunday. Applicants are issued to management on Mondays.

Conditions of Employment

  • Direct Deposit of pay and Social Security Card are required.
  • Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/physical/background requirements for this position.
  • Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.
  • May be subject to an irregular hours, evening and or weekends.
  • Must be able to lift or move objects up to 40 pounds unassisted, and occasionally lift or move objects weighing over 30 pounds with the assistance of other workers or lifting devices.
  • Must stand on tile floor, subject to burns, cuts, bruises, and slipping on wet floors.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) Check.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements are:
Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position consistent with acceptable practices of the trade including but not limited to:
  • Ability to work without more than normal supervision.
  • Ability to keep things neat, clean, and in order.
  • Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques.
  • Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation principles.
  • Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals in order to takes orders and provide change; and determine the number of portions required.
Highly Qualified candidates will have the following:
  • Posses at least 6 months of work experience directly related to the duties described above, that included skill working with professional kitchen appliances and equipment.
  • Posses a Servsafe Certification.
**Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others will be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list
