Food Service Worker Leader (Quality Assurance Expeditor)

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

• Ability to lead three or more workers to accomplish food service assignments.
• Must have experience in and knowledge of food preparation principles and characteristics of food.
• Must be able to follow simple oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning, and operate simple machines.
• Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgement in sequencing tasks. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food.
• Must have ability to read, write, and to clearly communicate in English and lift and carry 25 lbs, placing these items above shoulder level.
• Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time.
• Must be able to obtain complete food handler's training.
• Position is a position of trust.
• Must satisfactorily complete installation and National Agency Checks. Must be available
• to work uncommon/irregular shifts, to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Use of uniform is required.
