ABOUT THE POSITION

Columbia Sportswear's dynamic global supply chain consists of 4 distribution centers, 430 retail stores, 80 apparel factories and 20 footwear factories worldwide. We pride ourselves on being able to get products to market quickly, safely, and in the most cost-effective manner. By leveraging data analytics, we are constantly pushing to make smarter business decisions and identifying innovative ways to make Columbia Sportswear's supply chain more efficient and effective to meet our consumers' ever-changing needs.

The Footwear Product Integrity Manager will focus on the Footwear business - working in tandem with a team that supports Apparel - to alert senior management, product teams, and commercial teams around the world when a quality issue occurs, ensuring timely issue resolution, prompt communication, and preventative measures are put in place.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Manage one direct report, a Product Integrity Analyst.
  • As issues are identified, work with the Product Integrity Analyst to identify the scale and brand importance of the issue.
  • Provide updates to leadership on large issues and work with technical teams around the world to resolve.
  • Create one-pager visuals for issues of relevant size.
  • Analyze quality trends, such as consumer feedback from social media and retail, and communicate trends to product teams.
  • Ensure chargebacks to affected partners are completed.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product creation, and manufacturing teams across both Sorel and Columbia to ensure issue resolution and mitigation is captured as necessary in new standards.

YOU ARE

  • Comfortable with high profile written and oral communication, which will be reviewed by CSC senior management.
  • Comfortable participating and presenting in meetings in a proactive manner.
  • Able to tolerate ambiguity and adapt to dynamic changes in priorities, resources, and deadlines; the soft goods industry is very different than hard goods industry with less precise standards and high levels of ambiguity.
  • A team player who is willing to challenge the status quo in a proactive and professional manner.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience and knowledge of footwear construction, testing methods, and standards.
  • Knowledge of outdoor industry retail and consumers, preferred.
  • Understanding of consumer products product creation processes, preferred.
  • Robust analytics skills and ability to utilize data to tell the underlying story at various levels of the organization.

JOB CONDITIONS

Ability to travel internationally approximately 5-10% of the calendar year and be away for stretches of two-week+ periods of time.

Interactions tend to focus on information exchanges and problem solving. Frequently will be made aware and use confidential/sensitive information.

This is full time position with typical work hours being Monday through Friday hours 8am-5pm with flex time considerations for evening calls with global business partners.
