Job Description

The Forecasting Analyst is a key member of the sales and operations team, responsible for analyzing sales trends, historical data, and client insights to develop accurate sales forecasts and optimize product assortments at the kiosk level. Utilizing Adoria and other analytical tools, the Forecasting Analyst will ensure each kiosk is prepared to meet daily sales demands with an efficient product mix, minimizing waste and maximizing sales. This role involves close collaboration with clients to adjust forecasts for special events and marketing campaigns, and continuous improvement of forecasting models based on actual sales outcomes and feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain advanced forecasting models using sales trends, historical data, and input from clients to predict daily sales at each kiosk.
  • Collaborate with clients to incorporate key events, promotions, and marketing campaigns into sales forecasts.
  • Analyze product performance, waste levels, and customer preferences to recommend adjustments to product assortments, ensuring each kiosk meets its sales potential with minimal waste.
  • Use Adoria software to update and manage product assortments, ensuring accurate and efficient production planning at the kiosk level.
  • Regularly review and adjust forecasts based on actual sales outcomes, seasonal variations, and market trends to continually improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the National Sales Director to develop sales targets and strategies that align with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses on sales forecasts, actual sales performance, and assortment optimization efforts to senior management and clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sales and operations teams for all matters related to sales forecasting and product assortment planning.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in forecasting and inventory management to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Statistics, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales forecasting, inventory management, or a related analytical role, preferably in a retail or kiosk-based business environment.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and strong Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain accurate forecasting models and to use data analysis for decision making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and across functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
