This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office an average of two to three days per week with the remainder worked remotely.

Foreign Exchange (FX) Specialist - Associate - Downtown Los Angeles based

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Retail and Wealth Foreign Exchange Sales, the candidate is responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of FX clients.Responsibilities include supporting all business segments of the FX Sales Group; including Commercial Bank, Retail and Wealth Markets and Japanese Corporate. This will include processing FX transactions, prospecting and developing new clients, maintaining a portfolio of existing clients and providing FX payment, investment and risk management solutions.Candidate should possess knowledge of financial markets.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Answer questions from new clients and prospects, offering comprehensive suite of FX solutions including hedging strategies.
• Drive projects, strategic initiatives, and campaigns to increase referrals from the Retail, Wealth Management and Small/Middle Market business channels.
• Train the Retail branches on foreign exchange payment solutions designed to increase the conversion rate on incoming and outgoing wires and on foreign currency investment solutions. This may include travel to branches, presenting at Regional sales meetings and external client visits.
• Perform a variety of Foreign Exchange (FX) duties including execution of spot and forward contracts with both internal and external clients through a variety of delivery channels (phone, internet, etc.).
• Perform monthly financial reporting and specialized reporting in order to uncover and follow up on missed opportunities.
• Work closely with Operations teams to manage risk around outstanding trades (failed trades, returned wires and foreign currency account funding and rollovers)
• Work with branch personnel, processing areas and clients to facilitate customer service for foreign currency transactions and account openings.
• Follow up and qualify Banker referrals to FX Department

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• At least 2 years of sales experience in a financial services environment, including wealth management or brokerage firms.
• Knowledge of FX strategies and solutions, financial markets and banking products and services is a plus.
• Requires the ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision in a high productivity and time sensitive environment.
• Must be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and possess a salesperson's mentality.
• Should have a strong aptitude for working with numbers, along with excellent attention to detail.
• Fluency in English additional foreign language fluency recommended.

Education, Licensure, Experience:

• 4 year college degreeor equivalent work experience
