Job Description

Hebbia AI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Forward Deployed Engineer to join our expanding Public Sector team. Our technology powers Department of Defense end users analyzing volumes of data and financial services firms running due diligence on billion-dollar deals who want to make their analysts faster and smarter.

In this role, you will be pivotal in delivering Hebbia AI solutions to our US government customers, scoping and developing onsite solutions that leverage our scalable and high-performance platform. You will be at the forefront of designing and implementing systems capable of handling vast amounts of data with exceptional performance. 

This role is based out of our New York City office in Soho.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Chief Technology Officers from the DoD or Federal Agencies to discern their security needs for implementation, scoping trade-offs and timelines with our deployment team.
• Collaborate directly with customers to comprehend their challenges and convert these into functional features within Hebbia AI's platform.
• Expect to travel ~25% of the time to ensure close collaboration and customer support.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to conceptualize and realize the vision for backend solutions tailored to meet the specialized needs of government agencies in secure environments.
• Engineer end-to-end data integrations, synchronizing customer data with Hebbia AI's platform seamlessly.
• Develop robust and reliable backend systems that stand as independent products, empowering customers to expedite their AI initiatives.

Who You Are

• 3+ years of experience in solutions engineering or deployment in the government vertical at a venture-backed startup or with federal government customers. Experience wearing multiple hats throughout your career.
• Expertise in one or more areas: full-stack development, platform engineering, ML, infrastructure, or security.
• Cloud-Native Technologies: Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience in cloud-native application development and deployment. Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is advantageous.
• Data Engineering: Knowledge of ETL processes and experience constructing production-grade data pipelines. Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.
• Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capacity for critical thinking, pinpointing root causes, and proposing innovative solutions to technical challenges for high-level government leadership.
• A track record of continuous learning, personal growth, and leadership.
• US Citizenship and an active US Government Clearance are prerequisites for this role (minimum of a Secret clearance).
