Founding Engineer - Infrastructure Lead

As a founding engineer at Turnstile, you'll be an integral part of our early team. You'll help lay the technical foundation of our product as we work toward MVP and product-market fit. You'll put into place engineering practices that support a culture of collaboration, authenticity, and excellence. More than that, you'll join a tight-knit team of repeat founders and seasoned operators in shaping the future of SaaS.

As our infrastructure lead and first infrastructure engineer, you will own the platform on which all internal systems operate. You’ll architect our core infrastructure; define our infrastructure tooling, development practices, and standards; and lead our infrastructure team.

In this role, we'll ask you to:

• Build a robust and scalable platform for a data-heavy, microservice-oriented environment

• Define best-in-class infrastructure engineering standards and practices

• Help assemble and mentor a diverse and distributed team of infrastructure engineers

We'd love to hear from you if:

• You have a history of building highly scalable, robust infrastructure for mission-critical applications

• You have experience leading infrastructure (or devops/platform/SRE/production engineering) teams

• You have deep expertise in public clouds, containers and container orchestration, service discovery, CI/CD, and observability systems

• You have an AWS/Kubernetes/Python/Go orientation

• You're excited to build core infrastructure from the ground up

• You'd enjoy working in a dynamic and high-trust environment

• You have empathy for your customers, whether they be internal or external

• You believe how you achieve a result is just as important as the result itself
