Job Description
The FP&A Analyst reports directly to the FP&A Team Lead and is responsible for forecasting, strategic planning, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis. Your focused work will be accountable for providing financial analysis and recommendations to support development of the company's overall business strategy, extracting insights from the company's financial and operating metrics, partnering with finance function to improve processes, delivering executive level presentations, and synthesizing and articulating key findings to executive leadership and business partners.
You Will:
- Support monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reporting
- Partner with accounting to improve monthly close process and streamline variance analysis
- Assist with the creation and implementation of necessary models/systems for the development of the annual budget, forecasts, and multi-year business plans
- Partner with analytics team and cross-functional teams to discover opportunities that lead to business impact, including strategic initiative ROI evaluations, operating expense efficiencies, and forecast accuracy improvements
- Implement KPI forecasting models that serve as drivers of our financial forecast
- Develop reporting and dashboards in Tableau and Adaptive Planning that generate insights to business stakeholders
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
- 1-3 years of experience in a corporate finance or FP&A role (including co-ops / internships)
- Strong communication, presentation, and business writing skills
- Basic knowledge of GAAP accounting rules
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
Nice to Have:
- Experience with financial planning software (e.g. Adaptive Planning, Hyperion Essbase)
- Experience with the Quickbase platform
- Experience with SQL and BI tools such as Tableau
- Project Management experience
- Knowledge of SaaS operating model
- Knowledge of B2B software industry
