Job Description
Bond Vet is on a mission to strengthen the human-animal bond through better pet care. We’re focused on urgent care, so we’re there for pets when they need us most. Our clinics are designed with pets and people in mind: warm, friendly, and highly sniffable. We balance this design with a strong focus on technology, all built in-house, which means we can easily innovate our systems to improve the veterinary team, pet, and client experience.
Bond Vet is building the next generation of veterinary clinics from the ground up — and we’re looking for a talented FP&A Analyst to join our growing team.
The FP&A Analyst will develop and execute in-depth financial analysis, enable strategic initiatives, and support the company’s financial infrastructure. This role will help turn high volumes of operational and financial data into actionable strategic insights that inform our current operating model and allow us to evaluate the ongoing strategic plan of the business. This role will also assist in leading special projects such as pricing analysis, cash flow forecasting and reporting, development of new business lines, and capital planning.Â
The role will work on-site in our corporate office located in New York City.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and build models and analyses to provide insight into financial, operational, and strategic decision making.
- Play a key role in supporting our consolidated strategic and financial planning processes, helping to maintain and scale our underlying integrated financial models, systems, and tools.
- Constantly improve overall financial visibility and accountability by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and communicating these insights to key stakeholders.
- Help assess the financial impact of potential new revenue streams, business lines, and operational strategies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports and presentations for key stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally across operations, accounting, marketing, people, and tech teams on strategic projects, ad-hoc project work and analysis.
- Underpin a strong pet health and client experience by creating a strong foundation for our clients and our team.Â
You Have:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or related fields.
- Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field (Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc.), with a strong academic record.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with demonstrated experience manipulating large datasets and building financial models from scratch in Excel.
- Prior experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Prior experience with Looker, PowerBI, or other data visualization tools preferred.
- Industry experience in healthcare, retail, or consumer products preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across departments and summarize complex information concisely, both verbally and through presentations.
- Incredibly strong attention to detail.
We Offer:
- Support for your physical and mental wellness: 100% covered health insurance, low cost dental & vision, free memberships to One Medical and mental health tools.
- Time for you and loved ones: great PTO, fully paid parental leave, discounted Bond Vet services for pets
- Dedication to your financial future: competitive pay, 401k match, commuter benefits
- A place to grow: culture that is centered in learning and development, career pathing, mentorships, empowerment and trust
Bond Vet provides equal opportunities for everyone that works for us and everyone that applies to join our team, without regard to sex or gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sexual orientation, any service, past, present, or future, in the uniformed services of the United States (military or veteran status), or any other consideration protected by federal, state, or local law.
