The Position:

As an FP&A Analyst, you will serve as an advisor and support finance-based decisions including budget creation, forecasting, variance and other key analysis that will be the basis for ideas, investment, opportunities to create efficiency and long-term planning.

In this role, you will partner on a daily basis with teams across the organization including but not limited to People & Operations, Product, GTM and Engineering. 

This role will report into the Director of Finance and is an opportunity to be an early member of a team building financial-based decision making into a high-growth, dynamic tech company. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive the monthly forecast and variance process, identifying key drivers of P&L variances

  • Develop and enhance standard and ad hoc financial analyses and metrics to provide strategic and operational insight to business leaders

  • Partner with cross-functional business leaders to drive the strategic budget & forecasting process, optimize resourcing and execution, and deliver on objectives

  • Implement / leverage planning and reporting tools to provide analysis, dashboards and ad-hoc reports

  • Design, automate, and optimize flexible FP&A processes and systems to support the growth organization and product development

  • Assist other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business

Who You Are:

  • BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field

  • 4+ years similar experience in FP&A or Business Planning (FP&A at a high-growth company a plus)

  • Experience with ERP systems and planning / analytics tools (familiarity with Looker, Hyperion, Smart View a plus)

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and understanding of report query and design

  • Experie_nce analyzing large data sets to extrapolate meaningful insights that drive business optimization

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand key financial drivers for business models

  • Excellent cross-group collaboration skills and storytelling experience that weaves numbers with business context in a way that is accessible for a wide audience

  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities

  • Results oriented with a process improvement & growth mindset who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment

  • Knowledge of FASB and SEC requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, tax reporting and accounting practices

The target salary range for this position is between $130,000 and $160,000. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all teammate pay regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay.

DICK’S Sporting Goods has company-wide practices to monitor and protect the company from significant compliance and monetary implications as it pertains to employer state tax liabilities. Due to said guidelines put in place, we are unable to hire in AK, DE, HI, IA, LA, MS, MT, OK, and SC.

Compensation Range: $130K - $160K
