FP&A Analyst

Reporting to the Director of FP&A and based in New York City, we are looking for a motivated FP&A Analyst to join IEX’s FP&A team. You will support the forecast consolidation process, deliver management reporting, and use planning systems to expand data-driven decision making. The successful candidate will enhance existing reports and build new models that provide actionable insights to the levers of the business.
This individual will have an eye towards continuous improvement, leveraging technology or other solutions to automate and scale our processes as they exist today. The right person for this role will have a successful technical and analytical background and be a strong self-starter with a proven work ethic.

What you’ll do:

• Assist in preparing annual operating plans, forecasts, and developing financial insights to support the business
• Help manage reporting, analytics and dashboards that provide relevant insights for business unit and departmental leaders
• Coordinate forecast inputs from several teams, including process management through consolidation system and spreadsheet-based data gathering and alignment of key assumptions and drivers
• Drive standardization and enhancement of our financial planning system to improve efficiency and meet team needs
• Work with multiple teams to develop, and continuously improve, solutions that accelerate cycle times, alleviate cumbersome manual processes, and ensure financial results are accurate
• Work closely with Accounting to support monthly close process and to ensure appropriate classification and coding of transactions
• Prepare ongoing and ad hoc analysis for daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting
  

Your Background:

• 2-3 years of finance experience, ideally in an FP&A role at a company or as an Analyst at an investment bank
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
• Comfortable applying fundamental accounting principles and strong understanding of financial statements
• Excel (can perform complex functions) modelling and data analysis
• Experience with mid-market ERPs and planning tools such as Netsuite is a plus
