WHO YOU ARE

As the Financial Planning Analyst at Maxwell, you will have the opportunity to build, update and deliver critical financial information to Maxwell’s leadership team that shows the key performance indicators and financial information for our three year plan with updates to that plan performed monthly and quarterly. This position requires thoughtful work performed under tight deadlines and the communication skill to allow us to interact and translate the plan into actions that deliver results which are critical to the success of the company. You are excited by the fast pace of a hyper-growth startup environment and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams to drive financial success. With this being a hands-on position, you will work to ensure all reporting objectives are achieved. Max'ers work at least 2 days a week in our corporate office located in beautiful Denver, Colorado so you'll want to live within a comfortable commuting distance.

 WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Maintain and enhance spreadsheet based financial planning model(s)
• Build relationships and coordinate with cross-functional business leaders on forecasts, budgets, and actual performance against plans
• Provide relevant models and forecasts to internal and investor audiences
• Learning about our multiple lines of business in a high-growth, venture capital backed business
• Assist in conducting financial analysis of acquisition targets, and assist with post-acquisition integration
• Provide financial information to business leaders for monthly performance reviews
• Developing reporting for Sales efficiency in a SaaS based business
• Coordinating with our Accounting team to produce monthly financial reporting - results vs plan

IDEALLY YOU’LL HAVE…

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting with prior professional experience
• 3+ years’ experience working in finance, accounting, business operations, consulting, or related environment with success in financial modeling and analysis
• Advanced in Google products - Sheets and Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience executing core FP&A processes, including annual budgeting, monthly and long-term strategic planning 
• Experience with complex formula development linking external data into Sheets which feed the Summary Plan
• Prior experience working in a venture capital portfolio company (preferred)
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and consistently deliver great work
• Ability to work as a team player with your mentor and larger Maxwell team

Our target salary range for this position is between $70,000-$80,000 per year.
