FP&A Analyst II

As a FP&A Analyst you will report to the Business Manager of Transportation, supporting the Transportation CFO by providing analytics, reporting, oversight of financials, and performance measurements across the company.
Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations. Primary Responsibility:

• Overhead and General & Administrative planning
• Development of our annual operating plan
• Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
• Coordinate submittals of financial deliverables to corporate entities
• Ensure the accuracy of reporting and financial statements
• Assist in the preparation of presentations
• Overhead rates management
• Orders, Revenue, and Milestone Payment management
• Participate in financial decision-making processes
• Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions
• Partner with the rest of the finance and business teams to collaborate on metrics, goals, and assist with supporting development of monthly financials included in the business review
• Serve as a liaison for internal and external modeling, reporting, and ad hoc analysis

Must-haves:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field and 3 years or more of related work experience
• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports and/or projections

Preferred:

• Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
• Familiarity with Profit and Loss statements
• Experience with indirect rate composition
• Hyperion Experience
• Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $68,926.06 - $94,773.33. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
