Job Description

If you like solving complex FP&A problems using your deep analytical skills, this is the opportunity for you! As a FP&A Analyst you will support our company by providing analytics, reporting, oversight of financials, and performance measurements across the company.
As part of the team, you will participate in:
  • Overhead and General & Administrative planning
  • Development of our Annual Operating Plan
  • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Coordinate submittals of financial deliverables to corporate entities
  • Ensure the accuracy of reporting and statements
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, using thoughtful analysis
  • Participate in financial decision making processes
  • Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions
  • Partner with the rest of the Finance and Business Ops to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews
  • Serve as a liaison for internal and external modeling, reporting, and ad hoc analysis

Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin and Durham, North Carolina, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations. Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field and 6 years or more of related work experience.
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports and/or projections
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with Profit and Loss statements
  • Experience with indirect rate composition
  • Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or similar querying tools for data
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $91,154.71 - $125,337.72
