Your Role

RPM has undergone significant transformation over the last several years, due to its explosive growth in the brokerage market. The FP&A Director will lead an intensified focus on financial planning, provide strategic guidance, support financial analysis, leverage and expand current reporting systems and ensure the financial strength and growth of the company. The position leads a dynamic team and is responsible for their growth and development. The position reports directly to the CFO

 

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial plans, budgets and forecast, working closely with department heads and senior management.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and variance analysis.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Provide analytical insights and support to senior management in evaluating business strategies, investments, and opportunities for growth.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 1-2 financial analysts, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the team’s efficiency and accuracy.
  • Cost Control: Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals.
  • Risk Assessment: Assess the financial risks and opportunities, developing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Forecasting and Modeling: Create financial models to support long-term financial planning and scenario analysis.
  • Performance Analysis: Continuously monitor financial performance against targets, providing insights for corrective actions and improvements.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and support special projects as needed.
  • Seasoned Perspective: Bring new ideas, best practices, and creative perspectives to the team to drive efficiencies, improvements, and impacts to the bottom line.
  • Business Partner: Serve as a partner to the CFO and the business to help drive new initiatives and process improvements. Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic and tactical initiatives.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA is a plus
  • 5-10 years relevant experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Experience with Private Equity (PE), ideal
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
  • NetSuite and Vena Reporting or equivalent experience, ideal
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop a team
