About the Role:

At PitchBook, employees are our customers, and customers are king! The Finance team handles everything “money” at PitchBook including accounting, quote-to-cash, payroll, compliance and budgeting for our fast-paced and growing company. The team supports the growth of PitchBook by providing actionable insights on the company’s financial health, all while working with a fun and energetic team!

The PitchBook Finance team is looking for a FP&A Manager that can improve and build PitchBook’s financial planning & analysis function and work with department leaders across the organization to supply meaningful insights into their decision making. Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess and drive improvement with current budgeting, forecasting and review processes for expenses
  • Identify business issues or areas for improvement across the organization and drive appropriate change
  • Lead, develop and train a team of two financial analysts
  • Refine and evolve core FP&A operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Build documentation around core FP&A operation processes
  • Drive the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting cycles in partnership with business stakeholders
  • Aide in ongoing identification and measurement of key financial performance metrics across departments and implementation of monitoring or dashboarding mechanisms
  • Assist in assessing core FP&A operations for impact and resource allocation
  • Serve as a trusted business partner through short-term and long-term financial planning processes, confronting and overcoming challenging situations, enabling growth and driving process improvement
  • This is a highly collaborative role across the business and finance. This person should bring an eager and curious mindset that leaves a positive impact on those we work with


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a finance, accounting and/or other similar setting
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing people in a growth environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar discipline
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Extensive experience building three-statement financial models
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic relationships with your business partners to deliver results
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects across an organization

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $81,650-$147,200
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 15%

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.
