Senior FP&A Manager
What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for a FP&A Manager to join our growing team. This individual contributor role will report to the Senior FP&A Manager. This is an opportunity to partner with Engineering and Product business leaders to drive strategic investment decisions and develop new, innovative products from NPI stage to mass production, through end of life. The mission of our team is to enable strategic executive and Board-level as well as tactical decision making for the company through financial modeling, fact-based analyses and interpretation of key business and financial trends.
This individual will primarily serve as the Finance Business Partner for the Engineering, Business Applications, Security and Product Management departments and will own all related budgeting, reporting, and modeling responsibilities. They will have the opportunity to make a direct impact through activities such as process improvement in addition to identifying risks and opportunities that will have direct visibility to key decision makers.
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
- Drive and manage the annual budgeting process for Engineering, Product Management and BizApps and maintain accurate and updated forecasts for OpEx and CapEx
- Partner closely with Senior Engineering leadership to provide impactful Finance support
- Create and streamline department level reporting to help track and drive informed spending and hiring decisions making
- Actively manage high-growth and dynamic hiring plans
- Understand key business drivers and clearly communicate implications of decisions made by business leaders
- Ability to model and track project specific NPI and sustaining fixed costs
- Continuously evaluate and implement changes to automate and streamline FP&A processes
- Build management reports, KPIs and dashboards
- Assist with updating and managing both rolling forecast and long term financial plan assumptions
- Develop financial models and analyses to support decision making and strategic investment decisions
- Assist with Gross Margin and Costing related analysis across product portfolio
Requirements
- An advanced understanding of corporate financial planning, modeling, reporting and analysis
- 5+ years’ experience with Hardware and Software technology company supporting R&D and Operations leadership
- Strong understanding of intricacies related to Operating Expenses (OpEx) and Capital Expenditures (CapEx)
- A high degree of analytical capability with the proven ability to identify business challenges, structure recommendations and provide insights to enable high-level strategic vision
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CPA, and CFA highly preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with Adaptive Insights or similar planning tools a plus
