Position Summary

GSL is looking for an experienced and collaborative Franchise Development Marketing Manager to play a critical role in the growth of the franchise system. This development marketer will be responsible for helping to lead, define and execute the elements of the GSI franchise development marketing strategy and plan. This person will develop and collaborate cross-functionally on all multi-channel franchise development marketing programs and overall content strategy to ensure our brand franchise leadership drives the company forward.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate a strategy for attracting new franchisee candidates in identified markets and support the goal to sell new franchises to entrepreneurs who share our core values and will ultimately build, own, and operate schools that meet the Goddard Standards.
  • Leverage Goddard brand positioning and research insights to develop and curate print and digital content that highlight the benefits of owning a Goddard school and effectively utilize the franchise development marketing budget.
  • Execute geo-targeted digital and traditional marketing initiatives (paid, owned and earned media channels) with the goal of achieving annual targets for qualified leads (applications received), and total sales goals.
  • Leverage non-paid media - email lists, industry, and trade associations to cultivate and generate new leads.
  • Provide monthly updates to senior leaders on the performance results, develop & recommend appropriate action plans designed to improve return on investment.
  • Manage submission of industry accolades and awards for franchisors. Leverage awards and recognition from industry publications in marketing efforts.
  • Experience in building out real- time email campaign using Marketo or other email platforms
  • Hands on keyboard experience in Adobe AEM, mining email lists and website optimizations
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance results, develop & recommend appropriate action plans designed to improve return on investment.
  • Familiar with Dynamics 365 or similar CRM platforms to monitor performance for monthly reporting analysis.

Experience and Competencies

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in lead generation, B2B or B2C
  • Experience developing digital content - website management, search, social and email lists and content, and managing external agency partners.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and sales CRM software
  • Executive-level interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Campaign experience from inception to post-launch analysis across multiple Marketing channels.
  • Experience working with email service providers (ESP's) leveraging email lists to acquire and nurture new leads.
  • Strong analytical with results-driven mindset to assess the success of marketing efforts.
  • Effective communication skills with ability to build, influence and give impactful presentations. Comfort level in presenting to senior management.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to influence, lead and communicate cross-functionally to execute on content strategies and execution.
  • Franchise Development Marketing training and experience (CFE a plus).
