As a Fraud Analyst at RSI, you will be responsible for identifying and preventing fraudulent activity related to payment fraud, identity theft, and bonus abuse on our sites. To accomplish this, you will leverage our robust internal BI and fraud tooling to analyze trends in fraud, set up automated countermeasures, and analyze the results of your changes to report on the impact.

You will also be expected to create mental and written models and diagrams to understand and document fraudulent activity and communicate effectively with team members working in multiple time zones to ensure that all potential instances of fraud are promptly and properly addressed. Additionally, you will be in charge of improving, maintaining, and creating monitoring for fraud trends and tooling performance.

What will you do:

  • Work directly with operational teams in North and South America.
  • Investigate fraud trends on both high and detailed levels using our business intelligence tooling.
  • Create mental models and written diagrams to understand and document our approach to fraudulent activity.
  • Set up automated rules that block fraud in real time.
  • Perform experiments with A/B testing or similar approaches to fine-tune our approach.
  • Report on the performance of the counter measures that you put in place, and seek to improve them.
  • Request changes to our tooling that would improve the outcome of your work.
  • Collaborate with team members in multiple time zones.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to keep them informed of fraud prevention efforts.

All About You:

  • Experience with programming (preferably in JavaScript).
  • Ability to work effectively with team members in multiple time zones.
  • Ability to work autonomously by setting goals and achieving them.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create mental and written models and diagrams.
  • Experience with SQL and similar query languages.
  • Experience setting up and analyzing the results of A/B testing and similar experiments.
  • Experience in fraud detection and prevention in the payments industry is a plus.
