Job Description

As the Fraud & Disputes Resolution Manager, you will be responsible for Avant's consumer claims and dispute resolution strategy, which includes tracking and remediation of fraud claims and transaction disputes, driving operational and strategic planning, defining and documenting business requirements,
and leading a team of analysts responsible for resolution of fraud claims/disputes, all while upholding our commitment to exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
• Oversees and manages the staff and day-to-day operations of the Fraud Claims Recovery Department
• Take ownership of Avant's chargeback strategy development and deliver tangable business benefit and value (e.g. loss avoidance, expense optimization, enhanced customer experience).
• Define Avant's overall strategy and business requirements for intake and
timely resolution of consumer fraud claims.
• Creates a control environment to measure recovery success.
• Drive reductions in chargeback losses, customer complaints, and operational costs through the development of data driven solutions, implementation of automation, monitoring, and collaborating with internal partners and external vendors.
• Partner with Avant's compliance, operations, and financial product teams to ensure that disputes and fraud claims are handled within regulatory guidelines and uphold Avant's CX principles.
• Build and utilize reporting tools to monitor activity and risk, review and understand latest fraud claim & dispute trends, and communicate directional areas of focus to the business, operations and Analytics.
• Managing daily staffing and workflow, and ensuring adherence to department quantity and quality standards.
• Establish and implement departmental processes, procedures, goals and objectives including business strategy, workforce planning, incentive development, and staff development
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required or 8+ years' of relevant fraud experience
• 6+ years' experience managing a fraud operations teams
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to succinctly and accurately communicate issues and recommendations to internal stakeholders
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SQL
• Self-motivated, highly-organized, team leader with a passion for fraud
• Able to work efficiently in a fast paced, changing environment with competing priorities
