Freelance Casting Coordinator

The Role

Jellysmack is seeking highly motivated and skillful freelance Casting Coordinator to help support their growing team. The ideal candidate must be personable, great communicator, organized, able to work under deadlines, and be proficient in social media trends and influential talent. They must be resourceful and competent at talent scouting both in-person as well as on social media.

The Responsibilities

• Constantly search for up and coming talent on Tik Tok, Instagram, Youtube, etc.
• Send creative outlines and post casting calls for new pilots and ongoing shoots
• Screen, collect and organize self-recorded talent auditions, categorize and submit selects to send to producers
• Coordinate with talent agencies, managers, and often talent themselves to schedule talent and give them all project details
• Maintain our casting database and track casting statuses for all roles, constantly updating and organizing talent lists and talent files
• Oversee and manage talent to ensure they arrive on time and have the best experience for their participation

Requirements

The Qualifications

This person must be enthusiastic about pop-culture and knowledgeable of social media content and influencers in the beauty, lifestyle, gaming, true crime and storytelling genres. They should be capable of motivating and engaging potential talent and adept at making creative data informed decisions through the phases of casting.

• BA/BS degree or equivalent in practical experience
• 2+ years of relevant experience in casting or agent office experience
• Must have be knowledgeable of different types of casting resources, both online and in-person, and have access to casting networks throughout the United States
• Able to adhere to deadlines and clearly articulate when there may be delays, offering solutions to ensure on-time delivery
• Professional communication style, able to communicate efficiently and thoroughly
• Enthusiastic team player and remain calm and focused in an ever changing environment
• Self-motivated, proficient multi-tasker, able to stay organized and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of different social media platforms and social media influencers
• Positive attitude with the ability to be flexible and pivot at the last minute for cancellations and creative changes
• Familiarity with Airtable or Monday (or equivalent) and G-Suite is a plus
• Ability to attend meetings that can be as early as 7AM PT to accommodate international time zones
• This role may be required to be on set in Los Angeles as needed for talent participation
