Job Description
Our client is a new energy drink. Created specifically for athletes, the product helps fuel you up before the gym, a game, or anything else you need to dominate. The product launched earlier this year, so our content is all about driving awareness and excitement. While we're made by a big player in the sports drink world, this is ENERGY - we're not afraid to have fun on social, exploring humor, trends, and other insights around athletes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Creative team to brainstorm inventive content ideas and topics that drive engagement. Each week you'll be responsible for coming to the brainstorm with ideas for videos, and then executing those concepts - some might be your idea, our creative team might provide some. Below are some themes we explore in our content:
- Cultural sports commentary (mainly basketball, football, soccer, and baseball)
- Athletic mindset (what it's like to work out or do things with this drink)
- How the drink makes you feel (embodying the energy)
- Platform trends (quick-turn concepts)
- Develop, plan, and execute (shoot + edit) social media assets on TikTok and Reels on a weekly basis. Assets range in length, but typically will be:06 -:30 seconds. We typically shoot for 2-3 videos per week.
- Stay up to date and help create against viral trends and critical moments as they come and go. From platform trends to current events in the world of sports, we're looking for our weekly content to be topical.
- Create content using best practices & optimization tactics (ie lit well, shot, and edited to feel platform native, supers and captions fall within the safe space).
- Optimize and edit based on client feedback. This may mean revising a caption or reshooting a scene.
Requirements
- Love capturing and communicating brand stories through digital media.
- Are passionate about sports, and fitness, and understand the mindset of an athlete. Knowledge of goings-on in pro sports (NFL, WNBA, NBA, MLB) and/or ability to play sports is ideal.
- Are a passionate consumer of social: you know who's doing it best, you follow along with trends, and are able to tailor them to a specific brand
- Are proficient in creating FOR social media (you know specs, native features, best practices, etc. that will improve the quality of the content)
- Are an insight-miner; someone who loves looking at insights to understand what flopped, what worked, and how to improve content next time
- Are comfortable nailing different tonalities in your content - from humorous to serious.
- Are proficient in video production (shooting and editing on your preferred program, ideally are proficient in cap cut as well)
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Understand social media is a 24/7 environment and are ready to jump on an opportunity that makes sense for the brand at any time
- Are willing to jump in as necessary when a great opportunity arises
- Able to work non-standard hours when necessary, anticipating potential opportunities and workflow shifts
- Are great at juggling multiple projects and to-do's at once!
