Freelance Copyeditor

$25 - $30 Hourly
Blueprint is looking for freelance copyeditors that will review medical education content for house style, correct grammar, sentence structure, and clarity. We are looking for someone who is available 10 to 15 hours a week, with a possibility to expand in the future.
What You'll Do

• Learns and stays familiar with the house style guide, which includes inclusive language practices
• Corrects grammar, style, and readability of assigned content
• Communicates with content experts when clarification is needed
• Meets virtually each week with the copyediting team
• Communicates asynchronously with the copyediting team as needed

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• A minimum of three years' editing experience preferred
• Expert-level knowledge of American English grammar and spelling
• Familiarity with AMA's and Chicago's style guides
• Comfort using Google Docs and Sheets
• Recognition of medical jargon
• Ability to communicate editorial queries with tact
• Sensitivity to various populations' humanity and needs
