Freelance Creative Project Manager

Malka is seeking a Freelance Creative Project Manager to oversee creative workflows across one of our biggest clients!

We are looking for someone who is highly organized and can manage the production of large numbers of digital assets (video, digital & social media, web, presentation), run internal and external logistics and production timelines, and work across creative and editorial departments to establish a workflow, assign tasks and share deliverables.

This is a non-creative role, client-facing role. A great project manager thrives in the organization and implementation of systems (Slack, Google Suite, Monday.com, etc.). This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects at a time as well as to handle hundreds of creative assets. 

To succeed in this highly cross functional role, this individual must possess strong communication, leadership and collaboration skills. The ability to build partnerships around strategic direction, execution and operational synergies are key performance indicators. This position requires solid knowledge of the creative development process as well as working knowledge of technical development and integrations. This individual must be able to build relationships with internal groups and external clients.

Note: This role is a freelance position, offering flexible, project-based work rather than a full-time commitment. This role is not eligible for benefits. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Acts as primary contact between the creative team and cross-functional business teams, working to coordinate timelines, follow up on outstanding deliverables and ensure flawless, timely execution.
• Build client relationships and act as the primary contact between internal cross-functional departments and outside clientele.
• Manages multiple projects and schedules at a time, ensuring that all key deliverables and objectives are executed in a timely manner and creative resources are applied accordingly.
• Regularly communicates and presents project schedules, statuses and plans to various team members ranging from junior to senior leadership, always tailoring communication and bringing solutions/opportunities.
• Ensure projects are routed for proper approval and all sign-offs are confirmed and recorded.
• Assess projects for any potential risks / roadblocks and strategically propose solutions to problem solve.
• Keeps track of project financials and factors scope into project planning process.
• Pivots schedules when necessary to accommodate business needs and change in direction and creative resources.
• Effectively transcribes, leads and organizes meetings that consist of multiple disciplines and levels to ensure next steps are agreed on and meeting goals are met - both internally and externally.
• Proactively and consistently defines and develops process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity across the Creative Departments.
• Seamlessly performs under pressure and delivers results in a demanding and fast-paced environment that requires fresh thinking and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience at a creative agency or equivalent work experience.
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
• Experience with project management or operations in media.
• Ability to create and maintain concurrent project plans, while managing various shared resources.
• Proven experience delivering at high volume, including video, digital & web and presentations that include multiple versions across social channels, paid and organic. 
• Collaborative, detail oriented, analytical thinker who is able to quickly and calmly react to changing needs/deadlines.
• Enthusiastic problem solver who is able to take ownership on tasks and projects assigned quickly. 
• Professional demeanor with the ability to work effectively under pressure and within deadlines.
• Mid level knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, Monday.com (or similar tool).
• Working knowledge of digital tools, terminology, best practices across digital, photo, and video.
• A strong passion and comprehension of the media/video production industry.
