Freelance Event Technician, Onsite

We are looking for freelancers (on call) Event Technicians to successfully deliver in-person events. A full training will be provided. We're looking for this person to be based in either the United States or Canada.

Requirements

What you’ll be doing

• Deploy, test, monitor and troubleshoot technology & hardware for onsite events (printers, routers, cables, hubs, etc). 
• Responsible for set up & dismantle of the equipment
• Assist the customer with software related questions and attendees with the Mobile App 
• Act as a Bizzabo representative on-site for technical services to the customer
• Escalate any issues to the Project Manager 

Who you are

• Experience in live event production and technical event operations 
• Basic knowledge of computer networks and protocols
• Available for frequent international travel, and be able to comply with the entry requirements and COVID-19 measures for your destination. 
• Able to work long hours over consecutive days 
• Practical knowledge of Google Workspace/ Office Suite / Slack 
• Positive & collaborative attitude, composed under stressful situations, team player and solution-oriented
• Customer-orientated and possess great communication skills

Nice to have 

• Experience with IoT technology
• Professional experience as an IT Technician, Audiovisual (AV) Technician or similar role 
• Basics in health and safety at work, especially in the context of shows or events
