Position Description:
- Concept, design and produce still and animated graphics and other design elements as assigned by Design Directors• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously• Work on a variety of projects from HLN Originals, Morning Express, sponsorships and daily requests
- Preferable to have ability to work in various creative disciplines: illustration, physical prop making, costuming, visual merchandising, set design, set dressing, shot blocking, photo and video shoot support, creative writing etc.
- Ability to problem solve, shift tones/genres and tackle novel assignments. Genres include news, crime documentaries, political coverage, commercials for sponsorship/products, lighthearted segments that often employ comedic situations.• Ensure design standards and brand guidelines are followed appropriately by using good judgment and leveraging Design Directors for council as needed• Work effectively as a member of the production team. Meet regularly with Design Directors, Assistant Art Directors, Sr Production Designers to coordinate production of design elements as needed.• Effectively manage time and resources to deliver projects and collateral assets on time and in working order• Will work with Design Directors, co-workers and show production staff to determine needs and facilitate execution of projects.• Will acquire and utilize knowledge of equipment operation, production techniques and engineering requirements.
- Requires creativity, organization, maturity and ability to meet specific deadlines under stressful production conditions.• television or equivalent work experience (a plus)• Software: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Cinema4D (a plus) Plugins: RedGiant, Boris FX, Sapphire, AE Expression,
- Prop making, crafting, physical design and display design (a plus)• Must have ability to work with and take direction from others.• Must have ability to work varied hours as required to produce finished products.
- Must have the ability to travel to and work on location shoots.
