While this team of digital designers is experienced in visual design, interaction design, UX writing, and design research, our forte is cross-functional work. We partner closely with each success and marketing teams, in addition to our own department's product and engineering leads, to create empowering products. About This Role

The team is looking for a Freelance UX Writer to focus on our creator experience and production web application platforms. Our goal is to support and drive the optimization and growth of our top creators by creating digital experiences that are as enjoyable and easy to use as possible.

Requirements

About You

As a writer, you're a prolific contributor who crafts clear and concise messaging and possesses a great sensitivity to tone and style.

• Empathetic for your audience, valuing a continuous and consistent experience across the full user journey
• Extensively versed in creating content for web and mobile experiences, with an understanding of the nuances of each medium
• Writes internal support documentation that translates complex concepts into clear direction
• Thinks holistically about content strategy and the user journey, from individual elements to overarching naming and terminology, including complex site navigations
• Promotes best practices around labeling and notifications, acting as an expert resource for colleagues
• Collaborates with product and marketing stakeholders to create the most actionable, accurate, and situationally ideal user language

• Able to write from a range of voices, creating meaningful messaging for high-visibility interfaces and product landing pages in order to convert casual visitors into users

• Has a love of creator culture and an interest in driving the future of storytelling
• Experienced in technical writing and/or design systems, preferably

As a product design contributor, you bring a strategic and experimental mindset to your work. Measuring effectiveness is part of your process, and you use data to validate and improve your approach.

• Works closely with marketing, engineering, and success teams to benchmark and improve messaging performance around key business goals
• Collaborates with designers and product managers to uncover and define overall value propositions and marry Jellysmack's content strategy with user experience

• Creates and owns the style guide for the voice and persona of our products and design system, and directly informs it from real-life experimentation

• Promotes style consistency and best practices with remote teams and third-party partners
• Articulates and defends decisions and points of view to high-level stakeholders and partners
