Freelance Video Editor

Overview

We’re excited to be looking for a Freelance Video Editor to partner with our talented team in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Reporting to our Director of Creative Production, you’ll collaborate alongside our amazing in-house production team to create video content for Brooklinen and Marlow.

Rate: $50-$75/hr depending on experience level. 

What you’ll do

• Edit short-form video for Brooklinen and Marlow across channels
• Optimize video content for different platforms
• Shoot short-form video for content and editorial needs
• Source music and sound effects from subscription library in addition to partnering with production to secure additional music licenses as necessary
• Collaborate with the team on concept development and script, including monitoring voice-over recording sessions
• Suggest your network of freelancers to collaborate with depending on different project needs
• Aid in the process of end-to-end production and logistics for video projects with the production and creative teams
• Partner with the creative team and freelancers to create and animate graphics for videos as needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure needs are met
• Develop and maintain a system for organizing and maintaining video archives

We're looking for someone who brings

• 2+ years of video editing and shooting experience on a small team (in-house DTC preferred)
• Audio and motion graphics experience is a plus!
• Experience with Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
• Conceptual thinking and excellent multitasking skills
• The ability to be meticulous, technical, highly organized, scrappy, and creative
